feel of clutch

It's time for the dreaded clutch question--I've had my 93 NSX for a bit now, and have acclimated myself to the feel of the clutch, and that shudder. Now, I'm sure that I've got no slippage at 75,000 miles, but when I had a honda tech guy check everything out, he stated that he thought the flywheel was the problem. Everything I've read has stated that the shudder is just part of the feel of the clutch. With no slippage, I'm loath to replace the clutch.

Any help?

I would not replace it if it is not slipping. There can be a few causes:

Flywheel (hot spots)
Pressure Plate (same)
Clutch dust mixed with the spline grease (most common)

Even the Honda special grease will accumulate the clutch dust over time. This will make the disks alittle more difficult to slide and you can get shudder. Using alternative greases other then Honda's will make it much worse, much sooner.

Unless it is really bothering you, I would leave it alone, when it slips, then do it:).

I have 33K miles and mine shudders slightly, not a really big deal.

Save the money:cool:
