Ok,

We have had several very successful events recently and there is already interest in the next. A few possiblilities have been suggested. It would be a good idea to get some input on what everyone would like to do. Vote on your favourite idea or post your own. Let's hear what you've got to say...

I would like to expand on the "Ottawa Area" thing - we would do a cruise through Gatineau Park to see the colours and stop at some of the scenic lookouts. A bunch of NSXs with the views in the background...

I'd also like to split "Ottawa Area" and "Muskokas" because they are so far apart. I guess if you're in Toronto, the distances are comparable, but if you're in Ottawa, not so much :-)

I'm wondering if we do Belleville so its not as far for the Ottawonians and do it as a Saturday drive with a sleep-over option for those who can.

There are several options I like on the poll. I'd love to do Ottawa/Muskoka as well as Oktoberfest. Naturally anything in Toronto would work for me.

I think it is only fair that we all make an effort to meet the guys out of Toronto. As stated, numbers make the difference. Both Brads and Sean ( and wives ofcourse ) have made the effort. We should reciprocate.

On that note, Can the people from the further distances set up an inviting itinerary ? Include good hotel links and routes as well as eating ideas. Once it becomes more organized, I think a lot of us will be encouraged to make it.

Can we set up another poll with only two choices. Those who prefer Track and those who prefer Drive. I think we'll get a good demographic with that and we can then concentrate on the majority.

Enough rambling....LET'S DRIVE !!!!!!!!!

This got me thinking about something... all the Montreal owners? Where are they all?? If we do something in Ottawa, it'd be easy for those owners to come out (we're only 1.5 hours away)

Guys, just to let you know, I think I am going to go ahead with setting up a fall tour up in the Muskoka area. It's a really great route and it'll be a joint event again with the Ferrari guys.

If we want to do another separate NSX-only event in Ottawa or Kitchener, I'd love to participate in that as well.

I'm currently aiming for end of sept/early oct. I'll post up details once I have some stuff planned out.

Geographically convenient... is there something interesting to see/do?

Quaint little town, nice harbour, decent hotels around, even a few classic resort style ones - and its only 15 mins from Shannonville for Dave!

I am not sure if there is a drive in Ontario similar to the drive through West Virginia - that was the best drive of my life - twisty roads, elevation changes, great views - that would be my vote

Vote for Muskoka.

I vote for TO area also, but I do recognize that we have to consider out of towners too.

Since we have a few London area members who've traveled a few times, my vote would be west before east. BUT, we should plan on a Calabogie event next summer and can do a stint in Ottawa.

I like the sounds of Ottawa and muskoka. Another option could be Sudbury. We can goto the Solid Gold and there is the coulson hotel there....i can arrange it if anyone is interested.....Sudbury would be a 4 hour drive from T.O. ............3 from barrie..........

I am not in favour of something that creates a long drive for the majority of the participants, 8 hours round trip is not the greatest.

Also, although I am not opposed to Ottawa it seems that there is only one Ottawa NSXr interested in the meet at all - perhaps I'm being grumpy but if we're dragging our a$$es out and only one Ottawa car shows up...(especially since we are getting good turn outs by the loyal and active London crew, 7 hours each way (for them) and only one local car shows up - I'd be looking up addresses for drive-bys)

BTW - Nascar is to Sportscar racing what a Drive-by is to skeet shooting!

Thats why I liked Belleville - nice middle ground - 2 hrs from Toronto, 2.5 hrs from Ottawa, 2.5 hrs from Montreal, 4 hrs from London, 3 hrs from Barrie

We're all just meeting each other for the first time here. It's kinda weird. We just added our seventh email list member. Apparently there are only 10 NSXs in the area, so no matter what, you won't get a "good" turnout by Toronto standards.

At our last Ottawa meet 3 weeks ago we had 4 turn up, and as Brad said we have just added No.7 to the group. I am sure the local NSXers will show up if there's a fall cruise out this way. Having grown up in TO and the Bolton area where the Forks was a regular trip for anyone with a sportscar, I can tell you that Gatineau Park will be very entertaining to you guys. Think Forks, but 20X larger. When I was in the Zcar club we did a drive to Tremblant via backroads that was incredible. I don't think I ever touched 4th gear the entire trip.

I wonder if we are trying to achieve too much with this event. Having an Ottawa and a SW Ontario event is an obvious solution. Perhaps we should look at a larger weekend event for next summer involving a cruise, Tech session and a track day.

Arshad has already said he may plan a Muskoka run, so a separate Ottawa group get together may be good to.

Next year we could plan a get together for all of us! Make it a real event and worth a bit of driving. I'm thinking we have it at Niagra-on-the-Lake at the Whiteoaks Resort & Spa (which is very nice, large and affordable) cruise into NoL for a wine oriented event and then go to Toronto Motorsports Park for their exotic car lapping day. Mini-XPO 07 - 2 days fun and we get everyone together from all over! We could do it at Bowmanville or Belleville to!

We need lots of notice so we avoid the - my family is coming over, my kid's soccer team is going for icecream, my 9lb supercharger pulley isn't in yet and I won't be seen with less than 400whp excuses...

Heck of an idea, we could call it NSXPOntario :-)

I've been to the White Oaks - very nice, great restaurant too.

Year after, it's Ottawa/Calabogie!

I like the idea! But I'd skip TMP - three (albiet agressive) sessions in one afternoon left me dizzy (lots of twist with no streight, then lots of streight) and wore out my front RA1s ($600!) It'd be better in my NSX 'cuz I'd be less agressive, but still...

You forgot the weatherman is saying something about rain in Oklahoma and you know, it could come here!

We need a constitution! It starts with "We the people aknowledge that cars ARE reasonably waterproof AND that the Zaino or Zymol stuff we use only improves the already waterproof nature..."

THEY DONT MELT IN THE RAIN!!!! (trust me!)

I think we need to seriously consider an NSXPOntario event that includes the London and Ottawa guys. Ottawa is close enough to Montreal that those guys can easily join too.

We should start a separate thread for that.

Away we go to a new thread.

My vote for the fall tour is for whatever Arshad is up for organizing. Ill show up.
