Does anyone have an idea of what the factory ride height would be on a 91 with the stock wheels? I'm looking for the measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel well, for the front and back. I tried the search function, but was unsuccessful in finding the answer. I looked at a 91 yesterday and it seemed much lower than a new 04 that I saw last year, in a dealer’s showroom. It is possible that car has had aftermarket springs installed, but there is no documentation to show it. Thank you in advance for any input.
Thanks,
Chris

There's a factory spec for ride height, measured not from the
wheel wells but rather from bolts in the suspension. You need
the car to be on a level surface for this check to be accurate.
It's shown on p. 18-6 of the service manual, available online at

Note that springs in older cars may have deformed somewhat,
so a ride height slightly lower than spec may not mean the car
has had aftermarket springs installed.
