Factory Remote Doesn't Work..

does anybody know why my factory remote doesn't work or is there a way to reset it? i just got it back from body shop & stereo work. it doesn't lock or unlock the door anymore :frown: . it's 98 nsx-t. please let me know.

Check the in-line fuse at the receiver/controller module under the glove-box - that fuse is notorious for blowing when the battery is disconnected & re-connected.

thanks D, i'll check it tomorrow, but it's gonna be a pain cuz they put a sub under there. is it like regular fuse or a special one? <== might be a dumb question

I would think it should be easy enough to access - at worst you should just need to remove the 2 screws for the under-tray below the glove box to access that module & its harness. I suspect that shouldn't be a problem even with the sub box in there - shouldn't have to mess with that hopefully.
I believe it's a regular automotive style fuse - 3A.

you pretty sure that's what it is because the security light does come on when i locked the door with my key. is there a spare 3A fuse or do i need to buy a new one?

The security module & keyless entry are compeletely separate devices.
There are some spares on the fuse panel by the driver's kick panel but I don't recall the sizes. I don't think there's a 3A though. You could put a bigger one in to test but the danger is you'll leave it there .......
