Factory Alarm Problem...Need advise

My factory alarm goes off when I open the drivers side door with my key. This does not happen when I open up the passenger side door. For the past couple of weeks, I have been opening the passenger side door so I don't look like an idiot, but this is getting old and I want to fix the problem.
Any ideas without dishing out tons of cash??? Thanks.

You need to replace the left door anti theft switch (part# 72154-SLO-A01). It cost $114.56 (canadian) so your price should be about half. This is a common problem with NSX's and is usually caused by some oxidation in the switch.

CFNSX is exactly correct about the switch and part number. I paid $108 mail order from Niello last December for one.

You can purchase it from your local Acura dealer. Niello Acura is a dealer in Sacramento that offers great discounts on parts to members of the NSX Club of America. There are also several dealers in Florida that offer discounts on service and parts to club members, as shown on the Florida Chapter website.
