Factory Alarm going off by itself?

My factory alarm went off by itself twice this morning. I have no idea why, the car is in the back of the gated house. No one was around. It was outside in the rain, would that have anything to do with it?

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Happens to me quite often. It is extremely annoying. I have no idea why my stock alarm does this.

Last week I got out of my NSX and used the remote to lock the door with of course, automatically arms the alarm. Then I proceded to unlock the trunk with the key and the alarm sounded. It took about 2 minutes before I could get the alarm reset. It's the only time that has happened. (??)

I don't know why it would go off in the rain, but going off when unlocking the trunk is described in the FAQ here.

Man, for as long as I've been using this board, you'd think I would have learned to use the search/FAQ function of this forum. Thanks for the info, I'll check the connectors as described. Thanks again and I'll do better next time I ask a question or have a NSX problem.

Actually, I had the same problem a while back. The alarm would go off by itself and I couldn't figure out why. When it went off at 4:30 am one morning, I knew it was time to bring it in to the dealer to get a diagnosis. Turns out, I had the trunk latch replaced for around $150 and haven't had any further problems with it. I hope this helps, see ya.
