Had in interesting encounter with an F430 yesterday. Waiting behind it in line at a stop light to get on the Merrit Parkway. Was on my motorcycle, so I pulled up close to get a good look. Very cool car in person. Dealer plates on it. The driver was having trouble going through the gears as we accelerated onto the parkway. Either he was taking a test drive, as there was a person in the passenger seat & dealer plates, or he was a brand new owner. Part of the entrance ramp at Highridge Road southbound towards New York is a sweeping uphill turn, first towards the left, then right as you enter the parkway acceleration lane. He missed another gear heading into the right turn, and spun a bit towards the guardrail. I thought I was going to witness a crash. Once he managed to get it onto the straightaway, and into proper gear, he floored it and shot off. It sounded pretty damn incredible.

 Reminds me of this guy I saw driving a Porsche Carerra GT with paper plates from the dealer. That's an absolutely stunning car when it's going down the road. Anyway, the guy driving never once peered over 55. I got up beside him and the guy looked scared to death and probably had no business driving any car, much less the GT. I'm sure he took it straight home a parked it in his garage, never to be driven again.

If you had a half million dollar car wouldnt you want to break it in right ? OK so you dont have to keep it under 55 to break it in right but to each his own.

I'm pretty sure the guy driving it wasn't even aware of a break-in period. He looked scared to death to even be driving.
