Recently installed Recaro's and i found i had to stretch my clutch leg a bit which bothered me. So after looking at the clutch geometry and instead of messing with the pedal height, i pulled the pedal and welded a 9/16" piece in the pedal itself just behind the pedal pad. Yes it's a bit or work, but i'm a fab guy and it gave me a chance to shave a bit of weight as well as pulling both switches and mounts which we old wrench turners have no need for (you only try starting a Harley in gear ONCE-hehe). With shortish legs i should have done this years ago, it yields a healthy safety factor with zero downside and now my wife could drive the car - er - wait - what have i done? Pics attached.
