Where are some places I can pick up extended length studs that wont require boring out the existing hub holes to make them fit?

Any other sources besides Dali. I am not keen on doing business with someone that doesnt provide anyway to get in touch with them other than email.

I've been doing business with Mark for almost 3 years now and have yet to experience even the smallest negative issue. If I have a question he replies to my emails promptly. If you're nervous, just order the damn things COD.

Oh, just came in to this thread cuz I thought you were talking about me...
but it seems you are talking cars...

So you were attracted to a thread started by someone with the screen name "coldhammer" because you thought he was interested in your manhood?

hey, what can I tell you. Didn't notice the name poster's name... That's pretty funny!

Hmm. Well its good to hear you have had good experiences with dali. I dont personally know anyone that has done business with him so I wasnt sure.

100% A++ rating for Mark at Dali. Always good to do business with... And super patient answering your questions.

I swapped my stock studs with the longer Comptech studs, which are just re-branded ARP's. Good piece of mind on the track.

I did not have to re-bore out the locations, but you'll still need to make the small groove on each hub to properly align and slip the studs straight through.

dali's got some sweet stuff.... i'm not a big fan of the site itself though....i like SoS's way better.... way more professional.

either way, i know from this forum that they are both top notch.

No, they're not. Not according to their "iTrader" ratings on this forum, which are dramatically different from each other:

Trust your first instinct and find another source. Look at the iTrader ratings that nsxtasy linked, it IS a crap shoot with Dali if you'll be satisfied (a number of those negative iTrader ratings have come from longstanding, respected members of Prime BTW). Would you buy on eBay from someone with only 68.2% positive feedback? Many have had no problems and that's great, but some who have said that in the past have also been bit in the rear later on. If you absolutely must deal with Dali than go C.O.D. like Hugh said to protect yourself, but for this item you're probably better off finding another source because COD will be another $10 via shippers like UPS. Perhaps if enough people refrain from doing business with someone like Dali that has dissatisfied so many customers, he'll straighten up his act and be a positive contributor to the whole community.

Again, trust your instincts and stick with vendors like SOS, Comptech, etc. who are much more reliable because, as you mention, they have a phone and published place of business/storefront. You could call SOS or maybe even Comptech and I bet they'll refer you to a legitimate place that has your item if they don't carry it.

Based on all my posotive experiences with Dali it's still hard to comprehend some of the nightmares that others have been through.

Last week I ordered 2 new front rotors before heading up to The Dragon. Upon opening the boxes I discovered that one of them has slotted and drilled, I only wanted slotted ones. I had no choice but to install them that way since my current rotors were worn past the service limit. It turned out that the box was mislabled at the factory. Mark offered to replace the rotor for free even after I had used it on the trip to Carolina. And true to his word, the replacement rotor arrived today.

... go C.O.D. like Hugh said to protect yourself

I FAIL to see how COD protects you at all.

If a box of rocks is delivered: you still need to pay for it UP FRONT prior to opening the package. Trying to get your cash back will just get you arrested for robbery. Stop payment of a check will just get your name on a crime report.

If you want to protect yourself: Use Google Checkout, Paypal or a credit card.

Reject purchases that are not completed and delivered within 30 days, as you lose your recourse to recover via credit protection process.

FWIW: I am a happy Dali customer and have worked with MJ for 7 years now. Bends over backwards and unbelievably prompt on parts. Some stuff gets delivered the next day. I only wish he were our of state so I could save on tax.

I am stunned at the allegations against Dali, but the only common thread is:
1. The whole process went on beyond 30 days
2. Trying to conduct operations via voice.
3. Public airing of the clients disapproval with Dali

I can understand that it would be difficult to comprehend when it appears you have received excellent service from him, including the latest example you listed. That's the crap shoot thing about it, you just don't know what you're going to get from him. I have no idea why he chooses to go above and beyond for some and pretty much flat out robs from others.

If it were only a very few negative experiences then I could maybe understand because sometimes customers can be in the wrong or overly demanding too. However, with the sheer number of people wronged previously and the type of people (respected, longstanding members of the NSXCA and NSXPrime) it is hard for me to say anything positive about a vendor like that. I'd hate to continue to support/do business with someone to save a buck or two that might very well only be possible because he's stealing money my fellow owners/enthusiasts to reach his profit margins.

There are enough other vendors with phenomenal reputations and customer satisfaction that also support the NSX community consistently with their sponsorship who have earned my business.

I've ordered countless things C.O.D. and never had a problem opening the package first, but perhaps that is just my fortune with the delivery personnel. You can certainly use the other alternatives you suggest too in protecting yourself, but if payment is necessary up front and there is a "delay" in getting your goods that takes beyond 30 days than you may be out of luck.

Not all of these are involved with the cases I know of and with many none of them are, other than obviously there was no resolution within 30 days. Many people only try to contact him via voice because he stops replying to their emails. Many others only seem to publicize their disapproval only after they've run out of options in getting their money back. Look at the iTrader rating he has....that is a long list of negatives. I too am stunned by it and even more stunned that people continue to do business with him.

However, bottom line is protect yourself the best way you can if you do choose to do business with him.

Well, just for the sake of discussion and for the spirit of a community watching out for people.
I remember that Shawn/Ponyboy had been the biggest supporter of Dali for years. Everytime Dali got into hot water, Shawn would come out defending Mark Johnson citing his good experiences with Dali.
Apparently, that is history.

I don't understand why it would be difficult to "comprehend" Mark Johnson's crimes committed to this community and to his "friends" or to comprehend anyone's crimes. Off hand I can easily mention a few despicable frauds that Mark did. Remember our friend the Flying Dutchman/Mother Goose/Guus? Nevermind! Guus is dead now and who cares about a dead man gotten ripped off by Dali, right? Afterall, Guus does not need that $3k worth of Volk wheels that Mark stole from Guus! NSXHK/Henry Chan got a few grands stiffed by Mark Johnson too and who gives a crap when this Henry guy is just one man from Hong Kong who cannot do jack to take legal action against Dali. It would take WAAAY more than $3k to sue Mark from Hong Kong. I bet criminal such as Ken Lay treated his circle of friends/supporters and family VERRRY well while he screwed thousands. So obviously you are treated verrry well by Mark Johnson.
What I DON"T comprehend is why people can't "comprehend" Mark's crimes and why Mark is still allowed to conduct his business on Prime.
Anyway, many local speed shops and race shops sell studs.
