Now I realize this site isn’t necessarily about new NSX’s. The majority of the members are keeping a wide variety of ages in NSX’s in the originally intended design. Along the way you have gathered an incredible amount of knowledge on the car which of course new owners like myself can benefit from. And let’s face it, production numbers over the more recent end of the production run don’t compare to the early runs. But somebody’s gotta buy the new ones too!

Anyway, this Friday I’m expecting delivery my new NSX. I’ll include a pic, assuming I can figure out how, from the Chicago Auto show where this car was shown. Not that it’s a big deal, but it is kind of cool to have a car that was show at a major car show. Even though I'm sure it was "just another car" on display. Anyway, in spite of my initial driving impressions, I decided to take the plunge. Just thought I would let you all know that there’s another in the ranks.

sweeettttt........welcome to the club....

Don't drive it,put it in a shrink wrap tupperware container and in 30 yrs bring it to Barret Jackson! Seriously have fun with your new car.Don't forget nsxpo and our national club, nice bunch of folks.

Congratrulaion Whealy!!! Please tell me that you are going to nsxpo05, I'll see you there.

Somehow I felt that the particular dealer (Especially the salesperson there) and Honda owes us big time, cuz we are the one who sold this car.

Isn't nsxpo05 in P-Ho-Nix (phoenix - recent shipping company commerical) this year? Lived there for 6 monhts in 88. Would loove to go back. Not sure I want to put over 3000 highway miles on it. And I'm selling my Excursion I previous used to haul my Prolwer in a trailer I alerady sold. I may wait until it's east of the Mississippi. But we'll see! Oh and thanks all.

Congrat's on a beautiful car. Welcome to the cult.

If you haven't done so already, read through the FAQ's on this board. There's an absolute treasure trove of good information in there.

Break her in properly and then enjoy her the way Sochiro intended!

Congratulations!
Something must have changed your mind from your post on an earlier thread
"initial driving impressions". Yes, the NSX is quite a nice secret.
Under appreciated, and under estimated. Have fun at those high rpm's.
Welcome.

Enjoyed your "advance" and tomorrow is the big day?...
Hope all is perfect
Like the color combo and NSX is a "show car".

I thought I would share some pics from the delivery day. Not the best pics I've ever taken nor very many. It's almost like I was pre-occupied!

BTW - Whatever that car was I test drove a few weeks back, it wasn't an NSX! How could these two cars be one in the same? Perhpase the other was a SSR with an NSX body...

Great looking car - congrats on the purchase!

I sincerely hope your driving impressions are good?

Again... beautiful car. Congrat's.

Break her in right and then drive her the way Sochiro intended.

Your new car looks fantastic!

BTW, did they actually have the NSX on the floor at the Chicago show? At all the previous shows that I went to the NSX was either roped off or was sitting up on a pedestal. I still remember the one year (?1999) where they had a Zanardi on a pedestal along with a gunmetal grey NSX-T on the display. I was in awe...

Thanks. My understanding is that this is the exact same NSX they used at the chicago auto show this year pictured at the top of the thread. The dealer got it in their inventory after the show was over. Been waiting for me ever since. :)

Yes and it was on cable TV I think espn-2, C.Van Tune does those auto show specials, and he did a spot next to your red at the Chicago show!

Funny you should say that Phonix thing. The guy who said that is the brother of a friend. I've actually met him before.

Anywho, congrats on the car. My dad and I took some pic's of it (i'm assuming it is it, it's from the 04 chicago show, maybe it isn't) at the chicago show and I went ahead and put them online incase you wanted any. Some are good, most are bad haha.

I greatly apprecaite you posting the pics. Unfortuantly I beleive mine was the 05 show and your pics are the 04. I assume they just did red two (or more) years in a row. But again, I do apprecaite you taking the time to post your pics. Looking forward to meeting up with you and other local drivers soon.
