Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, and promise not to bother you too much. I wanted to inform everyone that there is a Lotus Elise/Esprit rally that has been set up. I am an Elise owner, and having been to these before, wanted to include as many exotics as possible, and give everyone a reason to play around in the nice weather with their cars.

This would be great for people in the LA/Santa Monica area.

We are meeting at a diner for breakfast on Saturday morning, 8:30 to eat, 9:00 for the drive. The address: 1601 Lincoln // Santa Monica, CA 90404-3711, US. The diner itself is called Norm's. Anyone interested should take a look at the route that is posted to www.elisetalk.com. The second page of the post has the route on it. It can be located here: http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9133

The route itself is on the second page.

Norms (the metting place) locations is: 1601 Lincoln // Santa Monica, CA 90404-3711, US.

I hope to see some people there. It would be a lot of fun. Sorry if I "crosspolinated" the forums, but good times for Lotus owners, are the same as good times for Labmo and Ferrari owners as I have invited both. I hope to see some of you there.

Thanks for your time, and feel free to e-mail me directly: [email protected]

You guys should definatly come. It will be a lot of fun. It looks like there is alreadya joint Lotus/NSX run, but it is up east. I think we could pull one off here on the west too. That is, if you guys are up for it.

You can e-mail me directly if you want at [email protected]

Think it through. I will be there before 9:00 am. We need to confirm that everyone is there who wants to go. If you want to I can shoot an e-mail over with my number, just to make sure.

According to the thread at the Elise forum, one NSX showed, but didn't go on the drive. Pics are also at the Elise forum. NSX not included as they were taken during the drive.

Hello again guys. The update:

With 24 hours notice, we had 4 Elises and 1 STI. There was a nice NSX that showed up, but I think he had to go to a funeral. The roads were in bad condition, and considering I have not been in California that long Less than three weeks in fact, I was not familiar with the road conditions at all.

I would love to run with the NSXs sometime. They are very similiar to the Lotus philosohpy. We were supposed to have 3 Esprits come out, but I got 1 call from my neighbor at 7:30 in the morning telling me she couldn't make it. Needless to say, she woke me up, and we didn't ahve to meet untill 9:00. Then she called at 9:00 wanting directions. I couldn't bring myself to give them to her, after calling so early to tell me she couldn't make it, was clearly awake, lived right next to me, and seeing her car was home when I left. Here is a post to the Pics:

My car was the Ardent Red one, and that is me in the jeans and the cream colored T-shirt/sunglasses. BTW we stopped by the Ferrari and Mercedes dealerships to playa round, and they had the SLR there (you can see it in the PICS). It is a 400,000+ dollars car sticker. Also, there will be 3500 of them made over 7 years and the US gets 60% of the produciton. They wanted $1,250,000 for the car. HUGE MARKUP!!!! They apparently had sold 2, 1 to Jim Carey, and 1 to Jay Leno. I hope they didn't pay that price....

On a side note, I would like to run with you guys if it isn't too much trouble in the future. I don't know how often you get together or how the NSX community would feel about having a Lotus show up, I understand if it is an NSX only thing. Sorry for the late notice that I gave you for our meet. Our run was hard to pin down, and difficult to organize since I was in charge and didn't know the LA area that well. If you have a meet in or around the LA area, shoot me a PM or post it up. I would love to run with you sometime. :)

Oh and BTW, I have always been impresssed with the maturity of the NSX forums, as opposed to the Subaru forums. For an outside point of view, you should be proud of your selves for it. Case in point, I received 85 posts about my invitation on www.nasioc.com. I had 1 conformation, and 75 $hit talkers. That will be the last time they are invited on board...

Thanks for the invite. It was good to meet you guys. I was just at the s2000 canyon run this morning around malibu area. I think i'll post the s2000 runs here too as they are kinda like the NSX's little brother ;)

Hope we can do more joint canyon runs like this. Its nice to drive with different types of cars and meet other enthusiasts.

So your neighbor (a girl) drives a Esprit? That's pretty cool.
