looking for updates from everyone on what exhausts they are running. yes to the forums nazi, i have searched.

what do you like dislike??? my personal preference is mellow, throaty, not whiny. in fact, kind of like my women.

also, what about the combinations with different headers. how much difference?

thanks....

Sound quality is pretty subjective, although most aftermarket units sound BETTER than the OEM exhaust.

Note that SOME aftermarket exhausts actually rob you of low-end power/torque if used with the OE (1991-1996) cast-iron exhaust manifolds. They need headers to keep power above stock.

From Comptech forums...

Here are some numbers from a 2000 NSX.
RPM stock cat-back headers
3000 114 112 130
4000 160 158 171
5000 201 198 211
6000 240 246 257
7000 265 274 288
7800 258 271 289

You can see that the engine doesn't really like just the cat-back exhaust below about 5000 rpm.

Using both headers and cat-back is an excellent combination.
