I recently installed a new Tiatec GT Lightweigh exhaust about 3 weeks ago. I keep getting sparkly glass like dust all over the rear bumper, has anyone else had this before after installing a new exhaust.

Have you seen that with any other exhausts?
Many exhausts are packed with fiberglass. That's one of the questions I asked when I was buying one, and a reason I steared away from the Titec. The Anytime does not have fiberglass, ehich might be why they can offer a lifetime warranty for FI.

It's common with the Taitec systems. Like what KGP stated, the Anytime system I saw that was freshly installed didn't spew the particles out. My Flowmaster system also did not send those particles out.

I've seen and heard many exhaust systems... but most of them have already been broken in. Once it has, it usually doesn't blow that stuff out anymore.

(I also saw those particles on a new exhaust system that one of the Corvette guys installed on our latest run here.)

Oh, I didn't say it didn't spew any particles out. I initially got some fine steel particles as the cans are filled with a stainless stell wool (if memory serves me correct). It's just that the fill in the Anytime should hold up better to FI, or so the theory goes.

I see a debate comming!

BTW, mine is long since quit spewing, and the sound is absolutely fabulous. Close your eyes when my car passes and you might think it's an F car.

Thats the nice thing about the flowmaster, NO packing just chambered. With nothing to blow out the exhaust note doesn't change. Eventually the packing all blows out of those "high dollar systems" gradually becoming louder and louder. Some people like that, personally I don't.:p

White cars can get away with murder!
White cars can get away with everything except murder. If you want to get away with murder, get a color that hides the blood well. You would think red is excellent for this, but actually black does a much better job, and Midnight Pearl is just about perfect.

Ken... why do you know this! ;)

I noticed it with my GT Lightweight as well. Wasn't a big deal for me though. Just wiped it off. It'll go away in a few weeks - depending on how much you drive it. How do you like the sound though?!:D

I don't notice any extra spew from my ltwght taitec.I also get a fine dust on my rear bumper cover, brake dust.Maybe that is your culprit.

The sound of the Taitec has been just awesome, I get so many compliments on it. It has really added even more personality to the car. My friend has an RM and was really happy with it, now I think he wants mine.:)
