Hello,

Recently a coolant hose on my 91 leaked. The coolant came out and it overheated. Today, I replaced the hose and I blead and filled up the system again. Well, there is lot of coolant dripping from the blead hole next to the water pump. Could this be from over-filling the system, of am i going to need a new water pump?

Thanks
Cory

Cory,

It sure sounds like you need a new W/P. So it is time for a timing belt/waterpump.

If the coolant is dripping out of the water pump weep hole, it has a defective seal.

Is the water pump original? It is harder to see the weeping on the original pump, since the weep hole is recessed behind the cover. The newer model water pumps extend the weep hole outward past the cover.
