Ford GT!!!

I just picked up a copy of Evo magazine from local chapters, and it has extensive(55 pages long) article on this, and it's really good read!

I kinda noticed that it's january issue of the magazine(slightly old) but I did a search and it didn't turn up anything on the first page of results, so If this is a re post, please forgive me.

Anyway,
Number 1 went to Ford,
2. Ferrari 430
3. Renault Clio Trophy
4. Lamborghini Gallardo SE
5. BMW M3 CS(in North America, it's "competition package" i believe)
6. Porsche Cayman S
7. AMV8(most beautiful car in the world, imo :) )
8. BMW M6
9. MB SLK55 AMG
10. TVR Sagaris

If anybody's wondering what Renault Clio is doing in that list of phenomenal super cars(or worthy cars like M3), they did a mini-shoot out among Real World cars like Miata, 350Z, WRX and Golf R32 and the winner and the runner up would compete among the SURREAL world super cars.

The winner from the Real World part was the Clio and runner up was M3.
please check it out if it sounds interesting!

thanks for the post

I think the ford disereves the win though if it were me judging I would have given the first place to the Ferrari 430

and I second your opinion on the AMV8

I know what you are talking about the Ford.
And also I agree that everyone seems awed by the mighty F430.

The article said they "rented" the ferrari from exotic rental place and it had different tyres from one they had seen on ferrari before and also was running out of tread on the rears because ferrari of UK wouldn't provide a test car for them.
That might be why the F-car lost, but I did secretly hope the Ford would crush them all anyway. ;)

It's as expensive as hell but if you haven't picked up this issue of EVO, you're really missing out. The total article is broken up in two parts that must take up nearly 60 pages of excellent pictures and writing. I subscribe to R&T, C&T, Motor Trend, Automobile, Sports Car International and Grassroots Motorsports and this is one of the best issues of any car magazine I've ever read.

First time I picked one up ever and I almost cried because the pictures and articles were so good. (and also it cost me $13) :)

Thanks for the info, you've talked me into it!

(Now where will I get one in India... )

Thanks for posting..Even though they are neck and neck, I would pick the F430 over the Ford GT. Both are beautiful and either one would put a smile on anyone's face.
