I was looking on the Fast and Furious website to definitively determine which car Vin Diesel was driving at the end of the movie (in Mexico). So I stubled on this little info snippet so that every high schooler can trick out his ride properly.
Nitrous Oxide, or "N20", can safely double or even triple horsepower of virtually any car including 2 Fast 2 Furious cars.

Ha! Everyone on this forum is wrong!! If the Fast and the Furious says I can safely double or triple the horsepower of my NSX then it must be so! Now, can anyone tell me where I can get a 400 shot of nitrous?

P.S. Anyone know where I can get one of them "thundercharges" for my car?

NOT FROM ME:eek: !
So on goes the mis-information propaganda machine in regard to n20. I dont even respond to questions posed by these yo yo's any longer. will it ever end? their is a wealth of info out their that explains it correctly and still all this crap posted all over the web. I keep seeing kids and folks old enough to know better Regurgitating the BS and messing with the setups or not taking the advise about plugs, timing, safety componants right in the instuctions that come with an OE setup by NX,NOS ZEX... triple the hp huh, I like the 1/4 (25%) rule myself UNLESS it is tuned correctly on a dyno by someone who really knows the ins and outs of tuning n20,this does not applie to n20 specific built motors or certain direct port systems(I see alot of self proclaimed n20 experts) throw more fuel at an n20 setup running lean or detonating instead of lowering the n20 shot and raising the pressure setting on the FPSS(raising the pressure setting on the fuel safety switch will allow the system to put correct pressure at the rail and keep the second solenoid from activating and spraying into the motor, this eliminates a lean spike at activation. but as we all know everyone wants to be the fastest gun in town. makes me sad all this bad info.

SOME ADVISE: if you dyno your n20 car do a N/A pull first then jet with the N/A info inmind, make the n20 run and if you are running lean or detonate lower the n20 jetting first and make another run, if you are still lean raise the fuel pressure setting on the fuel pressure safety switch and watch that lean spike at activation or across the range drop to a very safe margin. instead of messing with jets goe for the FPSS first! DO NOT throw more fuel at a lean setup! good luck tuning your setups.

paulviriyapan, thanks for posting this crappy info you found as it helps show the board members to proceed at own risk when taking advise off the web. BTW folks NOS and the other vendors do have a help line you can call to get correct info although they are not to good with explaing or helping with advanced systems or custom jobs but very good with the out of the box systems.

So on it continues. I NEED NAWS BY TONIGHT TWO OF THE BIG BOTTLES:( :(

I saw the first movie The Fast and the Furious. It's just entertainment...
You call that "entertainment" !?

Why do such a light shot ? According to "Fast and the Furious' you're safe up to a 500 HP shot. 270HP * 2 = 540HP ...making your totally HP approx. 800!! :D ...LOL

I think the trick is in the "2 fast 2 furious cars", you know, cars with *so* much horsepower stock, that a shot of NOSSS is enough to triple the power at the wheels.

The disclaimer comes from if you're using some sort of "factory-high-performance car" that puts out more than 50bhp, no NOSSS for you. :)

You call that "entertainment
y
ep one of many types. With car movies you take what you can get. Even if you dont agree with all subject/info matter contained within. ie: motec system exhaust.! World famous australian management system reduced to an exhaust add on :D

But as the director mentioned most viewers of MOVIES arent die hard fanatics they just want to be entertained and see 'cool stuff' and wouldn't know what a motec was if it run up and bit them on the arse ;) Nor would most care.

A total of over 400 real 2 Fast 2 Furious cars were used for the 2 Fast 2 Furious Movie.

Real? As opposed to fakes? Is that counting the 100 cars used in that garage scene? Because if those are real, thats a joke! All the scouts did was come out to the local car shows and ask people if they wanted to be in that scene...Shit, my friends black lancer with nothing but a graphic on the side is in that scene! My mustang was originally scouted for that highway accident scene, but i declined when i found out what they planned on doing to the mustang...even though it wasn't really mine that would be crushed.

Some of the actors performed many of stunts and driving sequences in their 2 Fast 2 Furious cars themselves.

Like Paul Walker driving backwards at 70mph in his EVO VII? Or how bout 120 without looking at the road?

Some of the 2 Fast 2 Furious cars required 4 or more replicas to be built virtually all of which were destroyed while filming 2 Fast 2 Furious.

They were destroyed when they put them hideous graphics, neons and paint jobs on the cars, not after ya'll got finished trashing them! So wait, 4 or more replicas...that would mean there's at least 100 main cars in order to hit that "400 real 2F2F cars used" number!!! I guess that lancer with the graphic got bumped up to a "real 2f2f car".

Some of the faster 2 Fast 2 Furious cars in the movie can run 0-60 mph in about 4 seconds flat.

Ummm......ya. MAYBE the Skyline with all them mods, or the Yanko I guess... That looked like a 4 second Eclipse though!!!

Some of the faster 2 Fast 2 Furious cars in the movie have top speeds in excess of 180 MPH.

...and can do 70mph in reverse! hahaha ya, right.

Some of the 2 Fast 2 Furious cars featured "Thundercharges" that can double and even triple the cars original power levels.

Thundercharges...hmmm downside to these is you can only run them when its lightning out in order to benefit most from the "Thundercharges"

Many of the 2 Fast 2 Furious cars feature neon under-body lighting systems, which can be bought at many specialty shops.

wow.

Many of the 2 Fast 2 Furious cars featured on-board entertainment systems with as many a five television screens.

Whoopty doo...

Safely eh? Does that mean I can sue YOU when I blow my $13,000 C30A motor because I tried to spray a 540 shot SAFELY on it???

The street racing depicted by the 2 Fast 2 Furious cars in 2 Fast 2 Furious happens nearly every night in virtually every major city in the US.

Sounds to me like you're promoting street racing there...good one. Did your lawyers write the last two?

I like the drag scenes....they must have semi truck tranny's, cause I swear that they shift like 15 times!

NOS if used right, does work. I have a friend from MN that has a 94 GSR and runs between a 100 and 120 shot on a stock motor, and runs low 12's all day long. He has bolt-ons, and took all of the seats out to save weight. He loves beating turbo Honda's. great for him, not my cup of tea.

ROFL !!! WITH semi truck gear ratios too...I remember counting at least half a dozen shifts before the camera displayed their speedo's at like 70MPH, LOL.

I think it was trying to say that cars from the 'import scene', as in people who are actually into what the movie portrayed were actually featured, not just made-up by the movie director. The garage scene was not a close up of a particular car so maybe a car with a graphic in the background was fine for the shot. Just needed the numbers, good for your friend! So your holy mustang was too good to be fake trashed, others may say 'big whoop'.

This is your opinion of course. SOME of the main cars had replicas. They are referring to the main cars that starred. The s2000, the mitsubishi, the supra, the rx7 etc. That does not mean 100 or so, as the other cars were supposedly actual OWNERS cars.

Maybe for you, but it was highlighting what these cars feature and what you see featured in the cars in the imports scene.

This just sounds like bragging and the first thing that may be asked would be what the hell is a c30a motor?! Anyone that takes one websites advice is asking for it anyway!

It sounds like it was stating something not advocating. This is how the movies came about in the first place remember. Rob Cohen saw an article on street racing. Hop off your high horse!

A C30A is a 3 litre NSX motor, and they aren't 13 grand they are 30K.

Guys you gotta realize the website being quoted isn't written for exotic sportscar owners\dirvers (us), it is geared toward 13 yr old boys that do backflips after their Dad lets them drive the riding mower.

I know what it is, my point was that the average fan(children in this case, i guess) would have no idea what you are talking about spouting off product numbers and price ranges. Just looks like its trying to impress rather than inform. :)

This thread does not have anything to do with F/I or n20 any longer ,it should be moved to off topic.
