Evaporator replacement cost?

Unfortunately my evaporator has decided to retire early. I'm trying to get a ballpark cost on labor. Has anyone had this done and besides an evap and expansion valve, is there anything else that should not be overlooked while the car is apart. Plenty more too. It's not like "evaporator" is a common word or common problem on these.

When mine went out, I was quoted about 9-10 hours labor to replace it. Forget that ! Pulled the dash and replaced the evap myself. Saved 1000.00 in labor. Not a hard job, just tedious.
