The evaporator has two part no./versions.

80210-SL0-A02 is for 91-92 (R12)
and
80210-SL0-A03 is for 93+ (R134)

The only difference is the valve assy. included. The three-stage-switch is different between R12 and R134 also.

Ok, while writing the question I think I have the answer: If I throw out my leaking R12 components, esp. the evaporator except for the long lines A03 is the one to go for a new R134. Anybody say YES? :)

The system is charged with 950gr R12, what is the correct amount of 93+ cars?

Anyway: Having the dashboard out is it worth it changing the heater core ($300) as well? Any failures in the past?

So which one did you end up using? A02 or A03?

I am about to order one for my 91 but don't know which one and I am currently using 134A freon.
I have a feeling both models should work fine on the my 91. Thanks.

I strongly believe it will if you converted over to R134a. The fittings should be the same.
