EPS light

Don @ Hilltop just fixed my EPS problem, it was a loose ground connection at the battery. But you need to pull your 'clock fuse' to rest the EPS system. A stereo shop helped me complete some work on my car.

Good Luck

Mine first came up because I turn the steering wheel while starting the engine and the second one came up to alert me the battery is going dead.

Two excellent pieces of advice here. First, remove and replace your clock fuse in the fusebox under the hood - this resets the EPS. Often, this is all you need to do and the problem won't recur for months. While you have the hood up, remove the spare tire and examine your battery terminals. The negative terminal band clamp seems particularly prone to stretching and loosening. You can replace the negative cable but it is just as effective to cut off the band clamp and replace it with an auto-parts-store american-style negative terminal. Check the other (non-battery) end of the terminal for looseness. Also examine the positive terminal while you are under there. Clean any corroson off the terminals and reattach securely, making absolutely sure to cover the positive terminal with the red rubber cap. If for some reason your positive terminal doesn't have a cover, get one.

Nothing would suck more than to replace a rack and have that not be the problem.

You need to pull the trouble code.

Omg My NSX is Pissing me off stupid love/hate relationship ok so i went thru all my ground wires and found one that wasnt connected so well so i replaced it and my EPS light Goes Off and stayed off this time but then my TCS light pops on. Only TCS light No Check Engine light Any Clues?

Hey guys i bought my 95 nsx 3 weeks ago with the eps already out, it was actually from another prime member, derick127. He said the eps light came on so he took out the clock fuse and put in another one, it worked for a few months but then went out again so it disconnected the eps completely. From what ive seen on some other forums people are suggesting its a weak relay in the eps unit. If that is the case does anyone know who i could send it to for repair?

You need to connect it back up and after its faults pull the code if its a 22 I can fix it. PM or email me for more info.

This message is from a newbie, only have had the car 8 months and the EPS light shows and power steering is disabled. I am in a panic as my tech is on vacation. Read the bulletins, pulled the clock fuse, and violla, it's working again. Thanks to all of you that have gone before me for the sage advice. Since the EPS computer has clicked a few times when starting, I am not sure that I don't need a new or repaired one. We will however continue to monitor and see what happens.

What a great site to be a "go to " for those of us who aren't even handy, much less mechanically inclined. Kudos to all of you.
Thanks again.
Don

There are several issues when your EPS light comes on. If you want to research any of my threads you will soon learn I have certainly "been there, done that".
