Hi Chuck,The description sounded like it was a bad whine, like either the A/C compressor siezed, or the idler pulley siezed. If this is the case, the belt is bad anyway, so I suggested to just cut the belt off. If Frank gets together with Dan, all the better.Regards,LarryB
