I had me 1991 NSX with comptech supercharger and tuned exhaust. Original piston and one cylinder cracked after 9 yrs with super charger no damage to block so I replaced with new carrillo pistons. After I got car back it was using oil and the shop told me that is was breaking in. Well after 3,000 mile with break in time it is going through a quart of oil every 3 to 500 miles any ideas? It run so good so much power no leaks no smoke just a little bit of black carbon on tips pipes no obvious oil leak any where just disappearing oil?? Please help with advice.
Thanks

What kind of oil? If using royal purple I know that stuff burns.

Yep. Use Mobil 1 and it won't burn.

Take it back to the shop and have them do a leakdown test. No matter the brand of oil, burning a quart every 300-500 miles is excessive.
