After driving the nsx around all day, last night my abs light came on the i heard a noise from the from compartment. i had brakes but the light would not go out, and i still had that light noise. i got up this am to investigate further. i found the brake fluid reservoir completely empty and the two back brake lines were dry and the two up front were a little wet. but so was the bolt next to them. All the lines were tight. top of container was also wet. but lid looked like it was on tight. i checked the container and did not notice any cracks. any ideas on my next steps.

Please do a search on ABS. It has been documented many times and there are complete descriptions of your issue and how to fix it. It is a stuck selonoid, and it can typically be repaired for little if any cost:).

In addition to Searching as Larry suggested.

You should get a can of brake cleaner and spray down the parts/body that was exposed to brake fluid. Also clean from underneath too. Brake fluid is very caustic and needs to be removed ASAP (ASAP--drive down to store and get some now)

Which reservoir was empty, the ABS reservoir or the brake Master Cylinder reservoir? I assume the ABS. I doubt that a brake line broke. I would bet that you have a stuck ABS solenoid that is causing the ABS pump to cycle and there is air getting in the fluid which causes the reservoir to over flow.

The cap is vented, so will allow the fluid to excape when the reservoir fulls with aerated fluid. Like Drew said, Get it off the paint, pronto.

There is a DIY done by DanO which may fix your problem. I am in the process of working on these ABS systems.
