Does anyone know who would do this? I'm sure the car will fail without the cats on. But to swap in the original exhaust just to run the test is gonna cost money... anyone know a way around this?
You could always put the cats back on and leave them on. That way you won't have this problem every two years and you're not hurting the environment. You win both ways!
I don't believe that your car will make considerably more power without them unless you're in a highly boosted car. I'd just leave them on, or buy some high flow cats and not worry about it.
