recently purchassed a set [2nd hand from prime member] of these springs which are to lower the car 1.25in ...on pulling them out today and handing them over to my wheel guy..we noticed when standing them up on the floor, the 2 fronts [shorter ones] were the same height...yet the rears were different from each other by one 'extra' compressed coil...one has 4 'open' coils then 4 compressed coils ..the other has 4 open coils and 5 compressed coils...I did a quick search on Eibachs but found nothing to answer this ?..each/all of the springs is coded with same code so I assuming matching set..
So would it be that the back springs are slightly [~0.5in] different to each other to account for the drivers/engine /transmission weight distribution..is this assessment right ? If so which side of the car does it go..my NSX is a 93 auto and righthand drive...wheels with new tires are all set to go, as is exhaust, and the springs too for tomorrow morning ..this spring 'length' ? has come up late in the day, and has thrown us a curved ball.....she's first up the hoist in the morning...but I don't want the guys pulling the suspension apart to figure it out ..[which is the other way of finding out, I guess] .., I don't want to be paying for "discovery" time ...so any assistance pls
Thanks
