Ebay for sale jh4na2167yt000166

The first big warning sign about this car should be noticed just by looking at the name of the registered seller: www.hitcarsonline.com. [sarcasim]I think you need to be hit in the head with a 2x4 to realize that you are not dealing with straight cars if buying through this guy. [/sarcasim]

wow, thanks. from reading the thread, looks like this car was totaled not once but twice. btw... what is the most you would pay for an nsx like this?

I'm new to NSXs, but not cars in general, and that's definitely one to stay away from. Aluminum is so ridiculously difficult to repair, not to mention the fact there was likely some frame damage.

It looks like there might've been an extrication - I've never done an NSX before, but that's definitely how I'd pop the passenger door. The columns were definitely cut on the passenger side, although it's strange the rear window is still intact - one of the first things on any extrication scene is to pop all the windows...

They did an awfully nice job rebuilding it. From the pics it lines up okay too.

The car is worth "parts only" plus a bit for the ability of the car to move around on its own power.

At $15K...you should be able to part it out for at least that much if you don't like driving it.

If you really want it: no more than $20K and hope for the best.

Drew
/At the $32K on Ebay the car is not really for sale.

I doubt any extrication of humans would be done through the rear glass partition. Its only 10 inches tall ~ at most.

But, yeah, now that you mentioned it, the door on pass side does look ripped / cut off.

No, you wouldn't extricate through the rear glass. The reason you pop all the glass first is so it's under your control - otherwise, a window might shatter as your popping the hinges on the door, etc.

THANK YOU PRIME!!!!

I was excited when i saw the car on ebay and was tring to do research on it-- the owner told me it had been on the pass side to his knowledge and was up front in saying that he bought wrecked cars fixed them and resold them....

So i was under the assumption this was minor acc. and that the door shell was swapped and painted etc......

well I car-faxed it and got some info but not pics like i found here---

Prime saved me a long trip to FL from atlanta...... ( i would have driven to check out the car....) i am pretty apt at checking cars and feel confident that i would have found some (at least minor) frame work.....

but this saved me time and effort-- thank you guys....

and if anyone knows of a good 98-01 for sale in silverstone with black int..... let me know....................

thanks

Have not seen a blue NSX in San Antonio and was excited when I saw this one parked today. Was parked near I-10 and DeZavala. Looked to be in pretty good shape except for a missing back window. Waiter at our restaurant said the owner (worked in the area) IMG_0166.jpgIMG_0167.jpgIMG_0168.jpghad recently broken the window while drifting.
Snapped a few pics - always excited when I see another NSX - especially one I had not seen in town before. Looked up the VIN and surprised how good it looked after a rough past.

Great to see another NSX brought back to life.

Wow that's insane. I have a hard time believing that car is straight again. Although I am glad to see it back in one piece.... yikes

Damn, she was bent to hell... never seen that level of damage before
