Saturday morning seemed like an ideal day to take a ride to the Bronx.
Given the great weather conditions (cloudy) I expected to see Bob (RSO34) roaming around. Instead, I found some roses, along with some interesting looking dead ones! Another reason to visit the Bronx was to try out a rare (less than 20,000 made) 13 yr old Nikkor macro lens.

Great! Thank you for sharing.

Tony, those are beautiful pictures, how much did that lens cost Bags? Does she even know that she bought it for you?

Thanks Roger. About the lens, I rather not say what it cost Bags. Lets just say given the rarity, it costs about the same now as it did when it was new over 10 yrs ago - that is if you can find one:smile:

BTW - She is still in India...

Nice job Tony...

Not sure about the association of the word "War" with Roses. Perhaps this better explains the rose.

A Simple Rose

A simple rose I have found
It's not the flower that grows from the ground,
Its beauty is one of such delight ...
This rose is soft to the touch in all its perfection.

The envy for all the flowers in this garden
Its fragrance will consume your every obsession.
This rose must be a gift, a gift from above
A gift from Heaven to show us love.

Every morning I wake to see its petals glisten
Its easy to see how one could be so smitten
If love was a rose it would shine so bright
Because all I need is this rose in my life.
