Just curious,

How do the DRLs work on 94-01 Canadian NSXs? Is it just wired so that the pop-ups are always on? Or is it those 2 extra lights around the brake duct area..

I'm trying to figure out what to do to solve the DRL for a car from the states. I kinda like to have the option to open and close the pop-ups, so I don't want those to be wired on all the time. At the same time, I don't like the tacked-on look of those extra lights...

These are the fog lights underneath the pop up light - they work as DRL

BTW,

There's no need to install and run additional lights for DRL's. All that's required is a jumper across 2 vacant fuse connections in the fuse panel located in the bottom side panel of the drivers side. More specifically, depending upon the year of the vehicle, it will either be the 1st & 3rd or 1st & 4th vacant connections from the very top forward of the fuse panel. If you need any additional help, just let me know.

And doing so will wire the pop-ups to be on all the time? Or the parking light/sidemarkers?

Hi!

I did my DRLs last year and just got the lights to pop up when you turned the ignition on. You will pass RIV inspection that way. I went directly after the inspection to get them to reverse that procedure and now I don't have DRLs. Oh, and don't go to Canadian Tire to get it inspected. In Edmonton, go to Trail Automotive on Yellowhead and about 149 St..

The jumper will only turn on the parking light/sidemarkers. If you go to a dealer and ask them for DRL's they'll jumper the same way and charge $500 for it for 10min work. Good luck!!

Thanks for the advice... That sounds like the perfect solution.

So, this will actually pass inspection at Canadian Tire?

Why Canadian Tire? Have your dealer do it, then have your dealer do the inspection as well. The 91's are 15 years old this year and don't need a federal inspection, as they are not part of the RIV program.

Are you still trying to resolve your DRL issue? It should be the 1st & 3rd vacant connections from the very top forward of the fuse panel. If you need any help, just let me know.
