Drivers side door light broken

Ok, So since I’ve own the car I've had this issue. I had to disconnect my stock alarm because my car alarm would go off in the middle of the night about 5 times a night for NO reason. My whole neighborhood was getting pissed, so now I have no car alarm. I noticed when I drive around the driver side door light indicator will constantly go on/off. Even when I’m stopped at alight and not moving the light will flicker on/off, I figured that’s why my car alarm was trippin! I installed a detachable steering wheel/lock to hopefully keep thieves away but still would like an alarm. Any suggestions?

Without going through the schematics, I'd quess its the switch that senses the door is open. That being either mis-adjusted or broken, or the wire to it intermittantly shorting to ground, will cause the light to flicker and set off the alarm if the car was locked & turned off.
