Driver side seat recline doesn't work

So I purchased the car with the driver side seat recline not working... When I push the switch the motor sounds but no movement.. Tried pushing and pulling but it doesn't budge.. Anything else I should try before I buy another motor?

If I have to buy a motor anyone know the best place to get one? Or is there a place that will fix the old motor?

you need to replace the motor 100% the gears broke that's why you can hear it but no movement, must take seat out, then the leather comes off its bolted to the upper part of the seat frame right behind your back if sitting. and its discontinued bro.

need to find a used seat and rip it out.

but..... I think any Honda will work from a 1993-1995 Acura legend I cant confirm but I have seen legend seats off and it looks like it can retrofit to work

this is going to start happening a lot, I have had 4 NSX's owners so far this year with the same problem

Thanks Shawn.. Looks like I may just save the money and go aftermarket.. And just sell as is.. Kind of a bummer.. But oh well..

x2. My set of black 05 OEM seats had the same issue so I busted apart a spare seat I had and changed one of the motors. Wasn't a quick task but worked out well. I would assume other OEM honda or acuras use a similiar motor though.

Ok I would like to swap the seat motor! Received the motor from another prime member.

Still looking for some guidance of how to swap the motor! I saw a YouTube video of how to take the seat apart to replace the leather.. I am assuming this is what I need to do?

Go to page 20-38 to 20-40 in the free shop manual in the Wiki.
That will show you how to remove the seat.
Once that's out, you can access the motor

I found a 93 Legend Coupé driver seat recline motor on ebay for $25.00 so I decided to find out if it fits.

It doesn't, sad to say. Close, but no cigar.

The Legend motor is on the left of the seat, whereas ours is on the right and never the twain shall meet. The casting cannot be modified -- or at least I can't modify it -- to make a fit. Someone may want to try a passenger's side seat, if it is mounted on the right side of the seat.

If someone finds a solution to this problem, please let us know.
