Driver Side door panel (interior)

Ok i'm not sure what they call this but here goes..
On the driver side door where the buttons that commands the window/mirrors/etc. The sticker from that arm rest is bubbling up and peeling off. Can this be replaced by just buying a new one and sticking it on or would I need the entire piece?

Would it be cheaper to just go carbon fiber?

That has been a problem I've seen posted by several people... Don't know what 's cheaper, but I think I've seen some posts where people have either sanded, primed and repainted or have applied CF with sticky backing to it... A search would help to see what other folks have done. I have one small bubble on mine and that's it. If I ever take the doors apart again, I'll probably have them painted.
