Are there any downsides to keeping a car up on 4 jackstands for an extended period of time, say 4 months or so (until winter is over)
Any experience with this is appreciated thanks!

Thank you, thank you. . . I'll be here all week!
I agree, just adds more $$$$ to the bill of the expensive suspension arms. :wink:I seem to remember that letting the suspension fully droop is not good for the shocks/articulation points of the susp.So my opinion would be to at least support each tire on blocks so there is at least some wheel support.

Just let it sit on old tires. If you're going to use the tires the next period just inflate them to 44 psi or so and move the car every two weeks a little bit to avoid 'square' tires.
Agreed, thought the "square tire" flat spot issues were more with the old-style bias-ply tires. Modern steel belted radials don't really have this problem. I have stored my NSX every winter by inflating all the tires to 40 psi. When I break it out in the spring, I've never had a problem.
The biggest downside is that it's almost impossible to drive your car!!
LOL. Funny guy!!! Everyone is a comedian....

I have had a car in the air for 10 years this spring - I wonder how it will be when I get to driving it...

And what kind of car has been sitting for 10 years on jack stands???

Funniest thing I read today!
Second funniest was a cartoon picture of Santa being accused of sexual harassment in the court room, with the lawyer questioning him, "I'll ask you again sir! Did you, or did you not look at my client and, in a crowded shopping mall, in front of her children, call her not once, but three times... a "ho"?".
Happy Holidays!
