Dot.com name....where to buy cheap with reliability?

Guys,

Before I renew my membership with Verisign(used to be Network Solutions), I'd like to find out where else I can buy(renew) my dot.com name that's cheaper and is reliable(In the sense that they won't go bankrupt or anything).

Verisign is around $35/year, I'm sure there's others out there that are cheaper and will be just as good.
