The drivers door wont open from the inside or outside, it doesnt seem like anyone had this experience in a long time , but it is now time to fix the slow windows after I get the door panel off!

Oh man sorry to hear this. Last time I heard of this happening, one of the guys here had to hack the door panel up to get it open.
That is some great advice.
I don't know about the supergluing thing though.
Maybe just some loctite would work better.:wink:
The latch broke, I bought the last one before they went on intergalactic back order!
You can pull out the cover where your hand normally is positioned when opening the door and then remove the door handle assembly. Make sure you unlock the door before disconnecting the electrical connection and remove the cable from the door handle. Pull on it and the door should open.
Not sure this is the problem as the outer handle should work, but here's the link:

the door wouldnt open from the inside or outside handle due to the failure of the latch. Once I removed the door panel (not easy with the door shut) I had to grind off 3 layers of linkages with a carbide grinder until I could reach the lever on the back of the latch where the pin broke off inside the latch. Most Honda latches have a removeable actuator but this one is molded into the latch. What a beating. I will post pictures to show where to go if someone else suffers this bad deal. I did get the window up to speed though, it had a gummy anti-sieze type of material in the guides that was dragging down the window big time.
oddly enough, my NSX has never had this exact problem but my Integra just did it last night

If it makes you feel better that integra latch is real cheap compared to the nsx and easier to replace. I wish it was my integra that broke and not my nsx!! At least I finally got those slow windows fixed @#$%!
This problem has been reported a few times here on Prime. The latch can break internally. I replaced my drivers side latch as a precautionary measure earlier this year. And yes, the NSX latch is much more than the Integra one. The NSX latch is $300+ (after discount).
I was celebrating the newfound blazing speed of my windows now and my drivers switch took a dump on me! I wont be found buying any lottery tickets tonight. If this wasnt such a good-looking car I would trade it in for a new tl-s

blegh! the TL-S is just about as fast as a Civic LX... :redface:
The same thing happened to mine. I feel your pain this a very hard fix.I done the same thing as you. Break door panel off and set in with a grinder. This something that should be considerd as a PM item.
