door striker bolt

I tried to loosen the door striker bolt (item 16) but it just wouldn't budge! I spray all sorts of lub and let it sit overnight but still no go! What can I do to loosen this bolt??

You will need an impact screwdriver for this.

My mechanic tried with an impact screwdriver already.... he said if he hit any harder, he'll damage the car body. And he pretty much damage the bolt already so I'll need to buy a couple new bolts.

The rotor screw is hard to remove too. I bought a large phillips screwdriver attachment for a 1/2" ratchet drive and used a 2 foot breaker bar...no impact and it came off easily. Now that it is damaged, I'd look for one like this that has little gripper ridges on the end of the phillips drive. They bite into the screw and make it easier. Good luck.
