Door remote will not lock/unlock
Red light on remote and dash illuminate

What red light on the dash are you talking about? Is this a 1991- 2001, 2002 -2005 or NC1?

I'm guessing nothing OP has is OEM.

It has been 8 days since the OP made the original post with no subsequent activity. Clearly it was not urgent or the OP figured out what they were doing wrong and can't be bothered to follow up.

In the 'good old days', it used to be think first then ask a question if you can't figure it out. These days it seems to be reflex to just post and hope somebody else will think about it for you..
