I mean, if you are driving with a bunch of NSX guys and get pulled over doing 100 mph but you are not racing each other.....does everyone get their car seized and crushed??

DeNguyen said:I dont understand why they dont just auction off these cars and use the money for charity/city use or something. It makes no sense crushing perfectly good cars. Lets not forget that not all the parts on the car can be recycled either.

Joking aside, I say good. Street racing is stupid and dangerous and if this stops even on incident, then I have no problem.
Although the suggestion to auction the vehicle off is a good one.

But well.. if you streetrace and accept the risk to kill yourself or innocent road user you're prolly happy to only loose your car.
I agree totally. That news anchor chick is pretty hot thoughrickysals said:then they shouldn't streetrace... it IS against the law isn't it?
oh yea, it is.
these jerkoffs are the reason I can barely afford my car insurance, I have Z-E-R-O compassion for them.
I agree. Sell the cars after the offending parts are auctioned off, and donate the money towards charity.DeNguyen said:I dont understand why they dont just auction off these cars and use the money for charity/city use or something. I disagree, it's not the car, it's the people who drive the car.92NSX said:I think the point is to get the cars off the road. If they auction them off, chances are that that is exactly where the will end up again.

People who are looking for a sportscar for example, they will just get it from somewhere else anyways.
Destroying a specific car that was used in a street race doesn't help preventing the next accident at all.
If they sell it in the auction to a safer driver, it would be better than destroying it.
