I doubt that you'll heat up the tires enough to make a difference.
But - if you _really_ want to, turn off TCS, drive through the water box to get your tires wet, bring the RPMs up to 4000 or so and let the clutch out quickly (but don't "dump" it) while adding throttle to keep the car from stalling. Apply brakes as necessary to keep the car from getting away from you.
I would contend that the track is in fact the place to do this. It is far more dangerous on the road to do a burnout and needless to say illegal.
Most people that run their cars at the track use street tires anyway. I would bet that only a small percentage of these drivers are accomplished at the art of a functional burnout.
As stated earlier, if on street tires.. stay out of the water box.
