Does the lightweight flywheels for NSX makes any noticeable difference in exhaust note? RPM rev up and drop significantly faster?

Here is an example, not NSX, but I would love to hear a before/after clip for NSX:

Same exhaust before lightweight flywheel:

Same exhaust after lightweight flywheel:

Depending of the weight of your new flywheel (There are quite a few brands; JUN, Toda, Fidanza, Tilton, NSX-R etc...) i think you could expect similar results.

Lightweightflywheel was one of my best mods, but it does NOT give the same result as in the above clips.

Please don’t expect too much from a lightweight flywheel. The above clips and most people’s comments about throttle response have to do with the revving ability when the clutch is depressed. The true throttle response of the vehicle is limited by the acceleration of the vehicle, for which, the lightweight flywheel has very little change. Except marginally in 1st gear.

i had no clue that by changing to a lightweight flywheel, it would effect the sound of NSX, or whatever for that matter? am i missing something in this video?

I have the light flywheel on my NSX with the CTSC and the short gears. It did accelerate a bit faster in first gear, it seems. But the real change is how quickly the car changes RPMs; before when upshifting I had to wait for the revs to fall before I let the clutch out - that's gone now. The same on downshifting, I had to hold the gas longer to get the revs up.

With the 2nd stage flywheel from Chris at SoS it now lines up perfectly. However, this car was my first stick, and I never stalled it with the stock flywheel (even while learning to drive) - I have stalled it a few times with the aftermarket flywheel; there is just less grunt down low. The missing mass and interia of the flywheel can be felt there as well.

I have the Jun flywheel installed with stock NSX clutch. I don't feel much different in acceleration, maybe little faster. But it is very noticeable when down shift with heel toe, it takes way less gas to much the rpm.
