I found this sensor mounted in my front grill pointing forward. This car had the original mobile phone, in-dash radar detector and a Clifford alarm with Nightvision and remote lock installed on it when I bought it. I have removed the wiring I could physically trace for the phone and radar detector because I didn't like them and had a battery drain problem that is pretty much solved now. This I assume was for the radar detector but since it looked like it was part of the OEM wiring, I thought it may be for something else (like the alarm????). It has "MK 10" stamped on the wire. Any ideas out there?

looks like the ambient temperature sensor
Yup, it goes on the front bumper in the big opening behind where your front license plate would be.
That is correct, it provides the climate control unit the outside temp.
