Hey guys. I had initially purchased a twin turbo NSX off here, I have decided (for quite a few reasons) to not get that one.
It looks like I will be getting this one instead. http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86088
If it all works out I will be flying down there next Thursday to look it over and make the final call on it.
It is getting a full inspection tomorrow at First Class Automotive in Orlando. http://www.first-class-automotive.com They are going to do a full check of everything for me.
It has a little higher mileage, but after reading quite a few post on here about higher mileage cars, I feel confident in this car.

I do have a few questions:

1) The number on the tranny shows that it is within snap ring range. Rick (the owner) believes that the previous owner might have had it fixed. Is there anyway to tell if this has been done? And, if it has not happened by 123k miles, what is the probability that it will happen?

2) What should I look for on a car with this many miles?

3) It has a small oil leak around the rear spool valve. He said the bolts were loose and he tightened them up. This might have fixed it. Oster at First Class Auto. said it might also be the VTEC solinoid(sp). Are either of these a big problem/hard fix?

4) What questions should I ask?

5) Does anyone know this owner/car?

Thanks in advance guys!

Michael

Car was looked over this morning, and looks to be in good shape. Carfax shows a wreck in 1995 in the front end, but the mechanic did not see any problem. The frame does not have any damage, or any signs of being fixed.

Main thing I am worried about is that it is in snap ring range, and has not been fixed. Should I be worried about this after 123k miles of not having any problems with it? Oster at First Class Automotive said it drive and shifted great when he drive it this morning.
