I have received a few PM's about the Pride V2 exhaust and why am i selling.....
I would like to clarify and answer a few questions.
There is NOTHING wrong with the PRIDE V2. i love the sound. Let me tell you a little background...
When i got the my car i wanted my car to be LOUD, went ahead and swap the OEM with the JGTC Parallel.
The JGTC kept me happy for a while until the GT ONE exhaust started to come out. People started posting videos of the exhaust and it sounded loud.
I was sold i wanted the GT-ONE exhaust but was not willing to sell my kidney for it.
When PRIDE introduced the Pride V1 i was at first hesitant as these were new in the market. I sat on side and see what peoples review will be.
Turns out everyone that picked up the PRIDE V1 was extremely happy. When i was finally ready to make the switch, i sold my JGTC and called Mark (PRIDE) and ended up purchasing the PRIDE V2.
My thoughts of the Pride V2 (quad tips) exhaust...
Build and quality= Top notch
Fitment= Excellent
Install time took longer coz I layed under the NSX for a very long time admiring the beautiful exhaust. LoL
Reason why i am contemplating of selling the exhaust?
Easy... NOT LOUD enough for me!!!
Some might say "Not Loud?". Let me explain..
When I installed the PRIDE V2, the sound was very nice, it has a exotic rumble, very elegant, sounded like my car gave birth to 2 more cylinders.
Back to back comparison to my JGTC, the Pride V2 was quieter.
I was puzzled why this has happened, the videos i have been watching showed crazy LOUD exhaust notes and why was my car QUIET!?!?!?
I went back and checked all the post and video and realized that everyone that has posted are mostly pre ULEV (CATS) models and/or running on TEST PIPES.
When i initially contacted Mark and asked him why was my exhaust so much quieter than the videos i have seen, his thoughts was that i was Crazy kid that wants to wake the whole neighborhood. (lol j/k)
He is now realizing that i was NOT crazy, because his new NSX with ULEV catalytic makes his exhaust note quiet for him as well. LOL :tongue: :wink: :biggrin:
I am now waiting on Mark to produce some HFC or resonated test pipes to replace my SUPER DUPPER ULTRA QUIET ULEV catalytic. Once i get my CATS replaced i can at that point decided if my car will be LOUD enough or upgrade my exhaust to the PRIDE V2(2.5) :biggrin:
To answer the questions.... Do i like my PRIDE V2(Quad Tips)? YES i do!!!
