Do the pins that hold the brake caliper to the mount wear?

My brake caliper on the passenger rear has more movement than my other calipers (it twists to the outside a little - about 1/8th inch) when the brakes are applied. The only thing I can see that would affect this is the pins that hold the caliper to the mounting ( all the bolts are torqued to spec). The tires/wheels are oversized at 275/45/18, and have been for some time which I'm sure has added extra stress on the calipers. My car is a 1991 with 118,000 mi. and is tracked hard 4 times a year. I never have liked the brakes on this car - all else is lovely. Should I replace the pins?

It can be either the pins, or the brackets, or just no grease. Pull the pins from both rear caliper and measure them, compare the holes in the brackets as well.

You can hope that the "loose" side is dry with no grease:). I have seen this on rear calipers many times.

Thanks Larry, I was hoping one of the vets here would see the post. I'll put a machinists caliper on the pins and see if there's a difference. Maybe I'll get lucky and just have to grease em up .

They don't wear, but they do get water in them and rust if not properly greased. Which is when they freeze, ask me how I know. happened in my civic.
