I recently had my house up for sale. The listing expired after 6 months. (whole other story) The day the listing expired, I started receiving phone call after phone call from other sales agents across the area wanting to list my home. It's been about 3 weeks and no joke, I've probably received at least 100 phone calls between my cell and home phones.
My home and cell phone numbers have been on the do not call list for a few years. I'm still puzzled how they got my home number. Only my cell number was on the listing or any paperwork. I know that certain organizations are exempt from the do not call rules, but sales brokers and agents aren't are they? Are everyone of these guys in violation of the do not call rules?
What can I do to get them to stop? I know eventually they will taper off, but I'm in sales to and I'm pretty much glued to my cell. It's really frustrating to answer the phone expecting a customer and get a sales agent.
