I think he put upwards of 75k euro's into the build.

i, uhh, wow.

I wouldn't want to own it, i'm not big on fake things... BUT

the sheer amount of craftsmanship that went into it is to be applauded.

always "FUN" to see and interesting to watch the progression. love it or hate it, it does seem like it takes a lot of work and effort to get it together (for that i give them my props)... but with all that talent and creativity... why not design an AWESOME one-off supercar or kit car... that'd be badd...

I personally would think of a few cars I would try before a SLR, but nice work, EXCEPT the rear drum brakes!

if you do some seraching about it... it turns out the guy got in huge trouble. He took the car to some auto show in Europe where the SLR was to be debuted, and the salesman dude saw it and thought it was real and started freaking out that it was parked outside and how it wasnt ready to be unveiled and shit for their deadline at the show. If i remember correctly, Mercedes sued him.

I think it's a 500 SEC (similar to this) according to this article (in Polish).
