DIY Brake duct DAY clean shop with 5 racks

I talked to Don and he says brake duct is not recommended for street use.
So I'm going to cancel the idea.
But if anyone wants to bleed the brakes an help me do mine, pm me or post here. I am trying to learn how to work on my car. If anyone wants to tackle timing belt water pump etc please pm me and I can provide a shop lift tools beer and helping hand from me and my mechanics. It be nice to work with someone who works on nsx alot.

You know.... the easy solution is to plug the hoses with foam when you don't want cooling. I do this when running the track in the rain.

BTW: Brake ducts on a street car aren't going to do much for you as you are not going to get the rotors that hot unless you are going to be doing repeated stops from high speed.

The reason they're not recommended for the street is that they are low... and tend to drag on speed bumps and the like... especially on lowered cars.

My car is stock height and I've had Dali aluminum air deflectors for many years. No problems as long as you pay attention. (I've had all the backing plates removed all that time too.)

You are talking about the air deflectors, not ducting. My ducts go to the front of the car. Actually I have both on the fronts. I drilled an extra hole on the Dali deflectors so I can swivel them up and then put them down at the track. Takes me 5 min to adjust them. Even fully down, I don't have problems with them hitting speed bumps, etc and my car is 1"+ lowered.

The duct's I put on my car use 3" Hose. I pulled the AC evaporators.
They work well on the track. They do not hang down below the car.

You don't need this for the street.

Hope this helps.

Later,
Don

I agree 100% - not needed for the street. Must have for the track.

I made covers for the front of my ducts which I tape secure for the street.
