For those coming to the DALI / Basch party on July 21, and you are driving down from the north (Los Angeles or North San Diego County), here are some alternate driving directions that will allow you to bypass the traffic on Poway Road. For those driving up from the south, these directions will not
save you any time, so it is best to take Poway Road as described below. For those driving in from East San Diego county, see below for directions from highway 67.
Important: Do not let Mapquest or Yahoo fool you. It appears that there are 4 different roads to get to the shop. This is false! There is only paved road, and it is via Garden Road. The other roads are dirt and blocked by gates.
FROM LOS ANGELES or NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY:
Get yourself on Highway 15 South.
Exit Pomerado Road.
As you exit the freeway, stay to the Right onto Pomerado Road.
Stay on Pomerado Road to Espola Road / Rancho Bernardo Road.
Turn Left on Espola Road.
Stay on Espola Road for about 6 miles.
Espola Road will end at Poway Road.
Turn Right on Poway Road.
The next traffic light will be Garden Road.
Turn Left on Garden Road, go 1 mile.
Turn Right on Sycamore Canyon Road, go 1.9 miles.
Turn Left on Raptor Road.
Take Raptor Road up the hill.
Raptor Road will fork in two places, stay to the Right at each fork.
Raptor Road will turn into Paragon Mesa Road.
Continue on Paragon Mesa Road until last driveway on the Left.
The address is 16212 Paragon Mesa Road.
Enter the driveway, continue down the hill past the house.
The NSX shop is at the bottom of the hill.
FROM SAN DIEGO:
Get yourself on Highway 15 North.
Exit Poway Road, go East 4.6 miles.
Turn Right on Garden Road, go 1 mile.
Turn Right on Sycamore Canyon Road, go 1.9 miles.
Turn Left on Raptor Road.
Take Raptor Road up the hill.
Raptor Road will fork in two places, stay to the Right at each fork.
Raptor Road will turn into Paragon Mesa Road.
Continue on Paragon Mesa Road until last driveway on the Left.
The address is 16212 Paragon Mesa Road.
Enter the driveway, continue down the hill past the house.
The NSX shop is at the bottom of the hill.
FROM EAST SAN DIEGO COUNTY (El Cajon):
From Highway 8, take Highway 67 North.
Turn Left on Poway Road.
The second traffic light will be Garden Road.
Turn Left on Garden Road, go 1 mile.
Turn Right on Sycamore Canyon Road, go 1.9 miles.
Turn Left on Raptor Road.
Take Raptor Road up the hill.
Raptor Road will fork in two places, stay to the Right at each fork.
