Difference b/w Spa yellow and Rio yellow?

Spa Yellow Pearl was available from 1997-2003 on NSXs in the US. Rio Yellow Pearl was available from 2004-2005 on NSXs in the US. Spa Yellow Pearl is a lighter yellow. Rio Yellow Pearl looks kind of like goldenrod.

Unfortunately, yellow is a very difficult color to capture in a photograph. The best way to tell the difference is to see the two together.

The good news is that they're both nice yellows. Unlike Porsche's current yellow (which is washed out, IMO), they're bright and look good on exotic sports cars.

To my eye, the Rio Yellow is a bit more orangeish (if that's even a word) than Spa.

I don't know if you can tell the diff., Spa on the left & Rio in the right:

Rio is so much nicer than Spa IMO.

Thanks Steve
couldn't agree more

i think the rio is closer to the Lambo Yellow

I love the Rio Pearl, I bought it because I wanted a Yellow '05. If it was reversed, and Spa was avail in '05 instead, I would have likely bought the '05, and said that I like the Rio better but only bought an '05 to get an '05 lol....Rio yellow almost glows, is deeper in color, more metalic i think. i love it!!!

Another example, I always liked Kaiser Silver better than Silverstone, but I bought a Silverstone later on because I liked the newer body style. C

Moral of the story, cant have it all, enjoy what you got lol....

p.s. Yellow rocks!!!! and if you search for yellow, you will get the same threads show up ;)
