Knocked a speaker off of my computer hutch. It was a 4.5 centered near Chatsworth.

I googled for California Earthquake just minutes afterwards and found the USGS site already updated with the earthquake. It's amazing how far along technology and information have come since the 1994 quake shook me out of bed in Westwood.

I was just about to get off work, it felt stronger than a 4.5
in Woodland Hills. Woke up the wife in Northridge which is pretty close to the epicenter. We went to the same site when I got home, quakes happen all the time.

I am staying in Canoga Park during the week and I definately felt it. I think I was within 10 miles of the epicenter. I am living in a townhome and the bedroom is on the 3rd floor...what a ride.

I rarely feel nearby quakes less than 4.0 (this one hit quite a distance from where I live), and I definitely don't wake up for quakes less than 6.0 (I'm pretty sure I was asleep when this one hit). I guess I'm just a quake snob. :p

I was sleeping and it woke me up. I'm down in Westwood and could definitely feel it. Rocked and rumbled for about 30 secs and then went away and I went back to sleep.
