Anybody else interested in going? I am?

Hey there Light Guy, please keep us updated on the meeting place and time.
Looks like they have not announced it yet unless I missed it in the read...

Per Don and Carolyn who organize the event;

"ATTENTION ACHTUNG ATTENZIONE

Here is the start location for the 8th Annual FCA-DFW Toy Run:

The location is the Panera Bread facility at 3050 South Central Expressway in McKinney Texas 75050. This basically the corner of Eldorado parkway and 75. Yea Yea Yea I know it is under construction but is has been that way for 2+ years and its not going to get any better quickly.
I have included a rudimentary map for your convenience. Here are the instructions on how to get there. If you are coming north on 75 exit at the 39A Eldorado Parkway exit. There is a detour that is marked, but you will turn right off the access road on Market Place, then go to Medical Center Dr. where you will turn left. The next light is Eldorado Parkway turn left here and as you go over 75 you will see on your left a big shopping center with a Bed Bath and Beyond, a Sports Authority a Pei Wei restaurant and the Panera Bread place.
Continue on Eldorado parkway until you get to the next light which is Craig St. Turn left here and go about 500 feet where you will see a sign that says Craig's Crossing. Turn left there and come to the back of the parking lot---on the 75 side.
NOW VERY IMPORTANT--- please leave the first two parking lanes just to the south of the Panera Bread building for their clients. We can utilize the ones that are further south and please stay away from the other businesses. See map for parking. Most of the businesses here don't open on Sat. until 10 and we will mostly be gone by then.
Panera Bread has coffee, soft drinks, snacks and restrooms so we will be taken care of on that front. Everyone needs to start arriving by 8 or 8:15. I want to have a driver's meeting at 9:15 and doors shut for the first group at 9:30.

RULES FOR THE RUN!!!!!!!!!!
A. If you intend on trying to set a world land speed record--please don't attend!
B. If you are in one of the first groups don't do something stupid that draws the
attention of the local constabulary. That jeopardizes the run for the rest of the groups.
C. There are no awards for getting to the restaurant the quickest! Unless you get one
from one of the DRS stations.
D. This is a charity event and a fun run. So lets keep both of those aspects in mind.
E. If you are a driver you must be 18+ years old.
F. Do not be the lead car in a group if you do not have a navigator--you will get lost!

That's it I hope we have a bunch more cars sign up and have good weather."

Looks like on of the guys on that board has a friend who will be bringing an NSX.

Thanks for the info lightguy, I just sent an email to Don.....
My Wife & I will be going for sure, great cause and looks like
it will be a great meet as well. Saw some pics from the previous
years and looks pretty Awesome!

Hope some of you others reading this will meet up as well. Just
post here and I'll be glad to give the organizer the head count
and NSX total...

Dirtiehippie,
Hope All goes great with your new gal and you're able to make it...

Great, hope to see you there. Sounds like it's going to be a blast, apparently
they have done the drive and located some really fun twisty areas.

Guys,
Here's a few more details I received via email from Don when I advised that I'll
give him an update on NSX / Person numbers tomorrow:

Begin Quote"
Yes Please. The sooner the better I will print maps on Friday AM based on the
count list we have going on F chat currently. The run is about 80 miles long
and takes about 1.5 hours at the posted speed limits and I KNOW everyone
assiduously adheres to them. The restaurant is doing a special buffet for us.
The price of admission is 1 or more unwrapped toys and or a cash donation
that will go to the Collin County Chrildrens Advocate. I hope to see you there.

For now I have advised him 4 NSX's / 8 people.... Let's get at least a few more
NSX's to represent for this great cause! Weather should be PERFECT / 76 High!

Sounds like a fun run. I can't make it. but maybe next year!

Single Samurai;
Thanks for your efforts.
Don is good people and the group is diverse.
All for a good cause and the weather is supposed to be fine.
Don's going to drive his "beater" 512M.
There should be several Ferraris Lambos etc there along with Mini Coopers Porsches and so forth.
All enthusiasts welcome.

I think I'll be there!

Hope to see you and your Wife there .... Mrs. Samurai's going with me as well!

Indeed a great cause and definately going to be a blast seeing some of the other cars and enjoying
the good weather! See you there!

I might attend or not, depending on how drunk I get tonight.

I don't think I am going to make it after all. The drive back from Vegas took more out of me than I expected. Fun road trip but 18-19 hours in the car, more than half the second day, is rough.

On the bright side, the car is happy and tucked away in the garage. Once I get it cleaned up I will get some pictures.

If the gentleman with the Spa Yellow NSX-T with the polished HRE 547Rs would consider selling me their wheels, I would be very interested. I just purchased a set of 547Rs for my other car, and love the design.
