Hey, guys, I'm new to the NSX world and am interested in a deeper sounding exhaust. I have listened to many youtube files and the best one I have found is the STMPO Messiah that sounds awesome. Are they still in business? I emailed them and called but never heard back. Also, any other suggestions? I assume these exhausts would change if I went FI? What if I plan on going TT down the road?

Welcome!

Deep and raspy is pretty easy to do. A nice fab shop could make you one to accomodate a custom diffusor or route a particular way (center exit for example).

This is one I made myself. My diffusor will be built around the exhaust and eventual turbos - that's why the back is so open in the video:

Edit - I have a few more videos of homemade exhaust arrangements linked at the bottom of the embedded video if you're interested.

I have a RM exhaust. It's really deep and a little raspy without cats. Everyone compliments on the exhaust note. But I'm going to be running a custom setup. I'll sell it if you are interested.

from my recollections the old discontinued rm was a B&B unit built to Randy's specs for nsx and it is raspy.

That is my understanding as well.
We have the RM Racing muffler on the red car, and it's a very pleasant deep tone with stock cats on.
It would probably be much more 'raspy' without them (test pipes).......

I'm curious who OP wants a raspy exhaust. I've never heard of a raspy exhaust that sounded good.

Maybe OP wants to put all raspy exhaust on blast lol.

It's brainwashing by the Porsche people...

funny you mentioned the P-cars. I tried hard to not mention them haha

there are a bunch in my workplace parking structure. at low rpm they sound awful.

When a 911 passes me, all I hear is my $15,000 Jetta DD - it rasps.

Lol. Personally I hate raspy exhausts.... Now I need to go listen to my car lol

haha it's actually is worse in their optional "Sports Performance" exhaust (I think that's what it's called?). It sounds good at WOT but it sounds really raspy putting thru my parking structure. There is a Porsche on every aisle.

Lol! I never got that mod.... It's over 3 grandand u can turn the sound on and off..... But that's the only gain, sound.

Another reason I can't afford the live the Porsche life man! Though I desperately want a GT3

You 110% can afford. I've come to realize that 99% if the new 911 are leased... Only when they have depreciated to "reasonable" levels people starting buying with cash.

I'm actually honed in on my friend's dad's old 1978 1-owner Targa. I use to own a 930 Slantnose before but couldn't register it in CA (grey market RUF). I'd realistically only buy a 993 these days outright or a 997 or 991 GT3 (keep dreaming right??)

Nice find tbnsxt.... That would be me..
Still finalizing tip design from 3" tip to 3.5" for a more deep throaty tone..
Whole exhaust is stepped up from 2.5" at the flange to 3" then step to 3.5" at 90 degree tip . BTW, the rasp is due to straight test pipe/no cats, a resonated test pipe would have very little to no rasp. Stay tune for more vids .
OP PM me if interest.....

have not seen much on this exhaust but it seems to be what you are looking for as well.

I run a flowmaster(custom install).
It's extremely cheap, ~$100 for the muffler, ~$100 for the install.
I like the sound. It sounds stock, but a little deeper.

Did you ever finish your build?
